Sailboat Sun Fast 3200 charter
Designed by infusion, certifying the shipyard's overlap in the most efficient technologies for sailing in the open sea with a small crew, the Sun Fast 3200 meets the Transquadra program, but also caters to fast cruising enthusiasts. Putting the spotlight on the trio Daniel Andrieu, Jean-François de Prémorel and Marc Vallier, this racing-cruising boat has a well-filled record for a boat launched in 2007.
voted European Boat of the Year in 2008, the Sun Fast 3200 can indeed boast of being one of the finest masterpieces of the Vendéen shipyard Jeanneau. Combining speed and well-being with poise, this small 10.10-meter-long boat boasts functional comfort equipment and exceptional interior fittings for a sailboat of this size.
Originally intended for two-person offshore racing, this racing yacht was initially equipped with a closed cockpit. A new version of the Sun Fast 3200 was then created with an open rear cockpit. Now adapted for inshore racing, the SF 3200 can take on ocean races and offers more space if you want to sail with a crew thanks to its open cockpit. The fractional sloop sailboat also has the advantage of a keel without a bulbous bow, allowing it to perform better.
voted IRC boat of the year in 2014 thanks to its performance in regattas, the Sun Fast 3200 has been in the news for many races, such as the UNCL-IRC 3 Atlantic Championship where it finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the crew category, and the first stage of the Transquadra where it took first place.
The secret of the Sun Fast 3200: an excellent compromise between weight and resistance, two rudder blades giving it incredible directional stability, which is not to be underestimated, especially if you plan to stay in the open sea for a long time and maintain a steady average speed. Let's not forget its ability to glide faster when you ease off thanks to its infused glass sandwich structure.
Easy to sail and very efficient at over 12 knots, the Sun Fast 3200 remains particularly sensitive in the mainsail adjustments. On the other hand, in terms of comfort, traveling on board this one-design racing boat is still very pleasant. Because although speed and performance are of the utmost importance on the side of this sailboat with a bulbous bow, it is still a habitable boat that can accommodate up to 6 passengers.
The Sun Fast 3200 has very pleasant interior fittings for a boat of this size that is not intended for cruising. User-friendly and practical, its living area is enhanced by two large benches concealing storage space and providing two single berths. The living area also has a table with turning away from the wind flaps to facilitate movement inside. On the port side, there is a practical chart table with a small open locker and interior storage. Lighting and ventilation are provided by lateral buoyage windows.
The Sun Fast 3200 has numerous storage areas, particularly in the benches of the rear cabins, which have comfortable double berths. The bathroom is located at the front, while the galley is positioned on the starboard side.
